RVLock QuickLock Screen Crossbar

This is a must addition to any travel trailer. Always struggling to pull the screen door closes to avoid bugs and ever anything good to grab onto. This gives you a great way to control your door with the bonus of push to lock. A fantastic addition and must have! Thanks RV Lock.

I bought one of these to go with my RVLock for our Class A. We have 2 steps down in our doorway so our handle/lock is fairly lower and in a darker area, especially when we’re heading to bed when it’s darker. This gives us an easy way to lock and unlock the door without fumbling in the lower dark area of the door handle. Connected easily, works perfectly. Aesthetically, it looks great and provides a great grab handle for the screen door/full door, very comfortable and looks completely like it belongs.
The ONLY downside we found was when I would reach down and open the door and push the door with my left arm, you guessed it, I would hit the lock button. Either I caught it and unlocked it after I opened the door OR WORSE, I didn’t notice it and I shut the door, slamming it on the deadbolt. I did it 6 or 7 times in a 3 day weekend, perhaps I would get better at NOT doing that but since I’m an old man I don’t feel like changing my habits, no matter how destructive they are to myself and those around me. What I AM good at is developing solutions to my own problems so the night I got home I designed and 3D printed a little sliding cover that goes over the buttons during the day (or any other time I need to use the door) and when we need to lock up for the evening I just slide it aside and lock the door.

I am very glad that I made this purchase. The unit is sturdy and very clean looking when installed. The installation was a piece of cake and pairing my RVlock with the new crossbar took seconds to complete.

Fit and function, it was very easy to install and looks great. It’s a nice addition to the screen door to protect the screen and provides a handle to open and close the screen door. The sync ability to lock the door is a nice added feature. Note, the screen handle cannot be used to close the door when the screen door is attached to the main door. The small plastic screen to main door latch can’t manage the weight of the main door.

I do like adding this to the system. It’s very ergonomic and helps to keep us from reaching too far out to close the door. It is very helpful to use the video link to understand the install. If you follow their step-by-step instructions, the install is simple. The simple button lock and unlock feature is handy when you were in for the night or leaving overall a great product and fits well with the rest of the locks in the handle extensions
