Top 3 upgrades we've done to our RV!

The RV Lock Trek model is awesome! Super easy install. I left the stock strike plate in place which was identical to one of the ones it came with so I just left it. It comes with a thinner one like stock, and a taller/thicker one if you needed to space the strike plate further away from the door frame. So far, here are my initial thoughts.
Pros:
No more worrying if someone has my key since the stock locks are basically “generic”.
The overall feel of it is heavy and it feels well made and beefy.
love that it’s rechargeable from inside or outside and supposedly lasts 3-6 months on a single charge.
Keys light up and you just type the code and it unlocks at the last digit. To lock, you only have to hit the lock button.
There is an independent button for each digit, so there are way more combinations than if one button is two digits.
Manual and push button lock/unlock on the inside.
FOBs seem really nice. I stuck one to the wall next to the master bed so I can easily double check it’s locked while in bed. I feel like we’ll use the keypad 99% of the time.
It has physical volume buttons for the speaker volume. I like the confirmation tones and when you program it, it talks to you and tells you what to do.
The latch and deadbolt are tied together so you are only locking/unlocking one thing vs stock they are separate.
Cons:
When you close the door and it latches, the outter handle makes a clanking/pinging noise. Not a huge deal bit it sounds a bit rattly.
If the door is in the locked state, the latch/deadbolt WILL NOT push in even when closing the door. In other words if the door is open and you accidentally hit lock, then try and close the door, the latch will slam into the strike plate and the door can’t close. So just keep that in mind. I can see my kids messing with it and doing this lol.

Top of the line upgrade for your RV!

We’ve now owned about 5/6 different models of RVLock and have always been pleased with our purchase. The new trek keyless handle is no exception. Very easy to use and adds a nice touch to your Rv. They have great customer service, anytime we have had a question.

Makes life simpler

It's so nice with the RV Lock system to only need one key for all your locks (and not a generic key that fits other RVs). And the keyfob and Bluetooth capability makes it so much simpler to make sure you've locked your door and compartments in one easy step. The new TREK lock gives you that added security when locking your door by setting the deadbolt at the sametime.

Trek Lock

Overall nice, strong lock with lots of features. I like that one button locks latch and deadbolt at the same time when leaving. Lock has Bluetooth built in as well which is a nice option to have as I can lock/unlock with phone. Installation was straightforward as well as setup. As some others have commented. I find the inside handle somewhat awkward to use. Hoping that I will get accustomed to it over time. Also, the inside buttons are somewhat difficult to see particularly in low light. Some additional colors on these would of been a simple fix. I added some labels to make it easier for myself to find these buttons in low light.
