Step One
Verify Existing Measurements
Fits Existing 3.75" x 2.75" Openings
Verify that your existing cutout size measures approximately 3.75 x 2.75 inches. Most standard cutouts are this size. Verify that you have a 1 7/8" inch spacing between your existing handle and window.
Step Two
Review common OEM handles the V4 can and cannot replace
Handles the V4 Replaces
The V4 replaces most OEM handles on towables. The following pictures are examples of handles we replace. Other factors may determine compatibility like deadbolt placement, distance from window (if applicable), and cut-out size.
Handles the V4 Cannot Replace
Incompatibility often is result of incorrect cut out size, cylinder placement, and existing door configuration. These are common OEM handles the V4 will not replace.
Step Three
Determine which configuration of the V4 you need.
Right Hand Configuration
If your door has hinges on the right-hand side (when standing outside of the rig) then you will need our most common V4, the right hand.
Left Hand Configuration
If your door has hinges on the left-hand side (when standing outside of the rig) then you will need our V4 Left Hand model.
